Guided tour of Fermo
Fermo was an ancient Roman colony with the name of Firmum Picenum.
It stands on a hill, the top of which, the Girfalco, can be reached after crossing typically Medieval hoops and circles. From here, you can enjoy a spectacular view that sweeps from the sea to the peaks of the Monti Sibillini.

the Cathedral;
Piazza del Popolo, the heart of the city;
the historic library;
the civic art gallery, with The Nativity by Rubens;
the Teatro dell’Aquila, one of the most beautiful historical theatres in The Marche;
the Roman cisterns.
